A ROLLERCOASTER RIDE IN CONTINUATION OF EDUCATION AMIDST THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC

The COVID-19 pandemic is wreaking havoc on the operation and outcomes of educational systems, which are already overburdened in many ways. This is true all around the world, and it impacts all children to varying degrees, depending on a variety of circumstances such as where they reside, their ages, family backgrounds, and whether or not they had access to certain "substitute" educational opportunities during the pandemic. Early in the spring, while the pandemic was at its climax, the virus forced nearly all of the roughly 55 million schoolchildren under the age of 18 in the United States to stay at home, with 1.4 billion youngsters out of school or in child care around the world (NCES 2019a; U.S. Census Bureau 2019; Cluver et al. 2020). Not only did these children miss out on group activities, team sports, and recreational options like pools and playgrounds because they didn't have daily access to school and the basic supports that many students receive, but they also missed out on group activities, team sports, and recreational options like pools and playgrounds.

COVID-19 has wrought devastation around the world since its emergence in late December 2019, and education, like any other essential industry, has been particularly hit hard. Also, even before the COVID-19 pandemic, we were already experiencing a learning crisis in our country, and we knew that we, as students, would be unable to return to formal classrooms. The greater the impact on them, the greater the impact on us. As a result of the increase in poverty, an increasing number of students will no longer be students and will be obliged to work just to support their parents. Furthermore, international studies show that even during a typical two-month vacation, students can forget 20-50 percent of their taught skills. The impact of school closures on kids' ability to learn, health, and well-being has been devastating. For years to come, the ramifications for every child, their family, their society, and their economy will be felt. Many kids will never be able to catch up. Every child is affected by school closures, but the most vulnerable children are the ones who suffer the most. During school closures, some children were able to access remote learning, while many others suffered owing to a lack of support. At least a third of the world's pupils did not have access to any form of remote learning.

The shutdown of schools poses major challenges to our students and their teachers. Our public education system was not designed or prepared to deal with such a crisis. Many of the youngsters who have the most difficulty learning efficiently are now finding it difficult, if not impossible. Continuing education in the midst of a pandemic is a critical decision that affects not only our country but the entire world. Even if there is no face-to-face learning in the classroom, the Department of Education undertakes substantial preparations and efforts through multiple learning modes. To improve educational quality, the City of San Fernando Division promotes TV/Radio Instruction. Unfortunately, it will be critical to identify which students are struggling most and how much learning and development they have lost. This diagnostic assessment will yield a unique result for each child. A more robust system that meets children where they are and provides them with what they require will be critical. However, this is a great assistance in terms of how students may still value education in the face of the Pandemic we're dealing with.
